FEATURED SONG

Dead Man makes the featured song of the moment.  This song comes from the March 29th, 1998 Not In Our Name benefit concert in Los Angeles, CA at the Shrine Auditorium.  Jeff Ament and Eddie Vedder Perform the song, with Jeff using his electric bass while strumming a bow across it.  Ed uses an Acoustic guitar for his part.  Before the songs begins, this portion is not heard on the recording, Ed states that Dead Man was written for the movie Dead Man Walking and originally titled Dead Man Walking, but the director Tim Robbins said that Bruce Springsteen had already submitted a song with that title.  So Ed had to rename it to Dead Man. Five horizons has a great write up on the whole performance which can be found here .  For complete lyrics and interpretations check out lukin.com .  If your wondering where the actual mp3 is go here .
PREVIOUS SONGS

With the  release of the new album and single, I thought it would be nice to post the live version of Nothing As It Seems.  For those who don't already know, this was taken from the October 31st Bridge School Benefit concert in which they opened with this song.    Eddie starts the song off by saying "On behalf of all of us, in an already charmed life, these last few days have been one of the highlights of life on Earth here, really been great.  Were gonna try a new song on ya."  This song has an echo to it.  Partly due to the acoustic set, and partly due to Mike McCready's playing style.  The guitar solo in the middle of the song is just one of those parts of songs you could play over and over again and not get tired of it.  Get it Now . Enjoy!
